Grown in an certified organic tea garden in the mountainous Huangshan area of Anhui province, the vegetal fragrance and clean crisp green liquor conjure up images of the beautiful granite peaks, pine forests, and blue skies of the stunning national park. This delightful spring green tea has a light clean taste with a sweet finish. 10g of this tea will make 9 cups, 50g will make 45 cups, and 100g will make 90 cups.

Origin: Huangshan, Anhui Province, China

Harvested: April 2011

Appearance of the leaf: A very small delicately curled, olive coloured leaf.

Harvest: The newly harvested leaves are spread out in the sun to partially dry them and then repeatedly rolled, and gently kneaded into shape. Shaping the leaf is a highly skilled task. After shaping, the leaves are lightly baked.

Quality: The highest grade will have a curly appearance and be small in size. This tea is Organic certified by IMO according to USDA NOP and EEC standards

Infusions: 10g of this tea will make 9 cups of tea based on using 3g per cup, and using the leaves for 3 infusions.

Our tea is sold by net weight, and by law, weighed using trade approved scales. Tea is packaged in resealable food safe pouches, or tins if selected as an option. Some teas may be heat sealed and/or vacuum sealed where appropriate to the individual product.

Our tea and tea ware products are shipped in packaging designed to prevent any damage during transit. All our products should reach you in perfect condition. You must notify us immediately upon receipt of goods if they appear to be damaged in any way. All orders will be dispatched within 3 business days, though we always aim to post as soon as possible. Orders placed after 2pm on a Friday, or at weekends will be posted on the next working day. All goods are dispatched by Royal Mail first class, which usually take 1-3 days from date of posting. Please allow up to 14 days for delivery. The Fine Tea Company cannot be held responsible for any loss your incur arising from any postal delay. Postage is usually calculated according to weight of the goods, plus the weight of the packaging. Postage is sometimes calculated on the overall size of the item. Infusion Guide

Quantity of tea: 2-3g according to taste
Temperature of water: 70-80C
Number of infusions:2-4

Quantity of tea: 2-3g for a cup of tea Temperature of water: 75-80C Number of infusions: 3-5

Either keep the leaves in your glass and continually top up with hot water, or infuse the leaves for around 2 minutes according to taste. For further infusions, add a few seconds on.

This tea is best enjoyed without milk.

Chun mei tea gains its name from the delicate shape of it’s dried leaf, which is said to resemble the perfectly formed eyebrow of a beautiful woman.
